Flame Tree BarbecueDescriptionA counter service location on the Asia side of Discovery Island, Flame Tree Barbecue serves up ribs, split chickens, and sandwiches. Seating is outdoors at one of more than a half-dozen covered and uncovered terraces, either tucked into the woods near the Tree of Life or overlooking the river. Kids get a break from the usual burgers and chicken nuggets, while the grown-ups can get beer or wine. The unique menu offerings are updated at AllEars.Net. HistoryFlame Tree Barbecue was one of the four original counter-service restaurants in the Animal Kingdom. Review
The best counter service restaurant in the park. Excellent barbecue and more than ample seating, even if the queue can get long around lunch time. A refreshing change of pace from the typical Disney offerings, with portions large enough to share an adult meal among two kids if they don't want the chicken leg or hot dog. A don't-miss meal.
